I went to visit mom today - got excellent news from the nursing staff:
1. Hemoglobin - is normal - no more concerns
2. Concussion - no more headache, dizziness, nor nausea. Her appetite is coming back.
3. The nursing staff had Mom sitting on the side of the bed, had her take a couple of steps
using a walker; and Mom actually sits in a chair to have her meals now.
I am extremely proud of her progress even though she tires quickly.
Mom has a new roommate, name Neil - broke his right leg skateboarding at the skateboard park. Very easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor. Just what she needs right now.
Mom was in excellent spirit; not only did I visit with her but so did her oldest grandson.
I am happy with this blog , but was completely saddened when I read of this for the first time tonight ,, I want to come see her ?? Are we allowed to visit ? This should not of happened to my grandma, but glad she is in the right hands 'n love you grandma!! ( jolynn)
ReplyDeleteHi Jolynn - you bet - mom would love the visit - and I agree - but things happen for a reason - it is not for us to question but to have faith.
